President Kenyatta to participate in the 75th session of UN General Assembly

President Uhuru Kenyatta will Monday evening make his remarks virtually in the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Kenyatta is inscribed as speaker number 32 in the high level meeting to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the United Nations.

The Head of State has also confirmed participation on Wednesday for the general debate and is inscribed as speaker number 19.

For the first time in the 75-year history of UNGA, most of the sessions will be held virtually as the UN takes precautionary measures aimed at containing the spread of COVID-19 disease.

The High-Level meeting of the General Assembly to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations under the theme ‘The Future We Want, the UN We Need: Reaffirming our Collective Commitment to Multilateralism’  will take place today, while the High-Level General Debate will start on Tuesday, 22 September 2020.
