The High Court in Nairobi has directed the Nation Media Group (NMG) to pull down an investigative report dubbed ‘COVID-19 millionaires’ from all its social media platforms pending hearing and determination of a case filed by one of the companies mentioned in the exposé.
The investigative report indicated that Megascope was one of the companies appointed by KEMSA to clear medical supplies donated by Chinese billionaire Jack Ma after they arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
It was further reported that part of the Jac Ma donations disappeared after being cleared at JKIA, a claim that KEMSA officials have since dismissed as untrue.
Megascope Limited sued NMG and journalist Dennis Okari for linking it to the multi-billion shillings scandal at the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA).
